At 18 Eilish dominated the night becoming only the second artist since Christopher Cross in 1981 to take home awards for best new artist plus song, record, and album of the year.
Hosted by Alicia Keyes at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the awards show took on a somber tone as attendees mourned the death of retired NBA superstar Kobe Bryant.
Other notable winners included Lizzo, Tyler the Creator, Tanya Tucker, and Michelle Obama for the audiobook to her bestselling autobiography, “Becoming”.
