2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Parasite made history at the Screen Actors Guild Awards Sunday night, becoming the first foreign-language film to be awarded best ensemble cast. The South Korean horror film by Bong Joo Ho is now a front-runner for the best picture Oscar at the Academy Awards in February. 

Other film winners included Joaquin Phoenix’s best actor win for Joker, Renee Zellweger for best actress in Judy, and Brad Pitt for Once Upon a Time In Hollywood and Laura Dern for Marriage Story in the supporting categories. 

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel came up big for the comedy TV categories winning best ensemble and best actor for Tony Shaloub. 

On the drama side, The Crown would take the statue for best drama ensemble and Jennifer Aniston picked the award for best actress for The Morning Show. Peter Dinklage also won best actor for the final year of Game of Thrones.
